Buying from farmers
You’ll need: Collection runs, Business locations, Cash accounts, Contacts — if you cannot see these, the module may be switched off for your business or outside your permissions. An administrator can change either.
This is where an agricultural business is most different from a shop, and where FeePrime’s field capability earns its place.
The trip is the record
A collection run is one buying trip: a run number and date, the vehicle carrying the goods, the destination they will be delivered to, the agent doing the buying, and a cash float — the money they set out with.
It moves through departed, arrived and closed.
Record the purchase in front of the farmer
The agent records each purchase as it happens — from whom, what, how much, at what price — with no connection at all. The device holds it and sends everything when the vehicle returns to coverage.
That is not a convenience. It is the difference between a record made in front of the person you are buying from, which settles the amount then and there, and an evening of re-typing a notebook, which is where every dispute and every missing receipt comes from.

The money is tracked too
The cash float is a real account with a real balance. What the agent set out with, what they spent, what came back — reconciled when the run closes, not reconstructed afterwards.
Farmers are contacts
Every farmer you buy from is a contact, and the same warning from the main course applies with force here: search before creating.
A farmer whose name is entered three slightly different ways becomes three suppliers, and then you cannot answer how much you bought from them this season — which is exactly the number you need at the end of it.
Closing the run
When the vehicle returns, the goods move from the truck to the store and the run is closed.
A run left open leaves stock sitting on a vehicle in your figures and cash unaccounted for. Closing it is the act that makes the day real.

Bills can come later
For a supplier you buy from repeatedly, a bill can be linked to the run, so a month of buying becomes one document to settle rather than forty.
